The Most Beautiful Sound on Earth
Sean Laughing

As a result, I just uploaded a lot of pictures onto Flickr, and we should be able to start some more regular picture posts again :-)

It's no secret that I am breast feeding Sean. It's something I feel very strongly about (some might call me a lactivist). Study after study has shown that breast-fed children have stronger immune systems (leading to fewer colds, ear infections, etc.), lower rates of obesity, and higher IQs than formula fed babies, even when equalizing other factors such as ethnicity, socio-ecomonic class, parental education, etc.
Tomorrow morning, instead of getting up early to eat breakfast, fill bottles, and drop Sean off at daycare, I begin my new job as a stay-at-home-mom. It's weird. Although this is what I want, I have never not worked. I think it will take a few days for this to sink in. In the mean time, I have plenty of stuff around the house to keep me busy, and lots of Sean smiles to take in. Because I know that things like dishes, laundry, cleaning, and the like will be mundane, and at times overwhelming, every time Sean flashes one of his big grins and laughs (something he's only recently started doing), it makes everything worth it!
