This week, Sean learned out to eat from a bottle! It took a little practice on both Sean and Dad's part, but before long, he was eating like a bottle pro.

This means that Bryan can feed Sean sometimes, and gives us a little flexibility to go out, or for me to run errands.

Let us know what you think would be a good caption for this photo! Sean often looks like this when he's sleeping or in the car seat.

Mystery Gift

A few days ago, we received a mystery gift. Fed Ex delivered an unexpected package. When we opened it, we found the following:

A set of boxes, stacked like a cake, filled with a bunch of adorable chef-themed baby wear! There was a onesie, a pair of booties, two bibs, a hat, a couple of burp cloths, and a blanket. All have a little chef or some other food and cooking related design embroidered on them, and the theme is Patty Cake.

So, to our mystery giver, who ever you are, THANK YOU! We love this! If you are the mystery giver (or you know who is), email us or leave a comment so we can thank you appropriately!

As you can see, Sean likes the new outfit too!

Out And About

Sean's pediatrician gave us some sound advice on our first visit. He said, "Don't let your trip to see me be the highlight of your week." We've taken that to heart as we have realized that for everyone's sanity, we can't just stay cooped up in the house. So we (Sara, Sean, and myself) try to get out at least once every other day to do something, even if it's just to buy more diapers.

So far we've gone out to dinner once, out to lunch once, and we've run a variety of errands. This evening, we made it out for some post-dinner ice cream. Yummy! It's nice to get out of the house, and it's also fun to see everyone's reaction to such a new and tiny baby. Our next trip? Probably a run to Target for diapers. I guess all of our trips can't end with chocolate shakes...

Sean loves riding in the car, but only when it's moving. Here's Sean complaining because we stopped to mail some letters at the post office. He calmed right down again as soon as I started the car.
